“Lupi Nostri presents the story of the wolf as seen through the eyes of people from all walks of life. The storyline meanders through various threads that skilfully mark off a polarised world inhabited by wolf advocates and anti-wolf groups. It makes a humble attempt to showcase arguably the most hated, feared, and misunderstood carnivore in Europe, offering insight into its ecology, inter- and intraspecific interactions, as well as its conflict with humans. The wide range of characters further enhance the narrative, as science tries to elucidate wolf’s nature and strike balance between man and wolf. This documentary comes as a wake-up call at a time when Europe’s fear-mongering policies seem to overshadow the wolf’s conservation needs. We simply need stories that reimagine the Big Bad Wolf and this is a fine example.”​​​​
